Description
Flounder 1″ Reduced to 3/4″ Jetting Nozzle – Bottom Pipe Cleaning Solution
The Flounder 1″ Reduced to 3/4″ jetting nozzle is designed for efficient bottom pipe cleaning when operators need to work with a 3/4″ hose connection. Bottom cleaning nozzles play a critical role in removing sediment, sand, and heavy debris that accumulate along the lowest point of pipelines. In this reduced configuration, the Flounder nozzle maintains its flat profile and high cleaning efficiency while allowing direct connection to 3/4″ jetting equipment.
Technical Features
The Flounder 1″ Reduced to 3/4″ jetting nozzle is manufactured from stainless steel, providing excellent durability and corrosion resistance in demanding sewer environments. Its flat, flounder-shaped body is specifically engineered for bottom cleaning applications. Through a 3/4″ thread adapter, the original 1″ nozzle body connects to professional high-pressure hoses fitted with 3/4″ couplings. Moreover, the nozzle operates effectively in pipes with diameters ranging from 12″ to 48″.
Efficiency in Bottom Cleaning Operations
This nozzle removes debris from the pipe floor using eight rear M8 jets angled at 5° and 10°. These jet angles lift, drag, and evacuate heavy sediment and dirt along the bottom of the pipeline. In addition, the Flounder 1″ Reduced to 3/4″ jetting nozzle operates with a minimum water flow of 53 GPM, ensuring stable and powerful cleaning performance in large-diameter sewer pipes.
Optional Rotating Fitting and Performance Benefits
An optional rotating fitting is available for the Flounder nozzle. This accessory allows the hose to rotate independently while the nozzle remains parallel to the pipe bottom. As a result, operators achieve uniform and controlled cleaning throughout the operation. With the fitting installed, the nozzle measures 5.8″ × 13.39″ and weighs 19.84 lbs, providing stable handling and precise positioning in large pipelines.
Applications and Typical Uses
Professionals commonly use the Flounder 1″ Reduced to 3/4″ jetting nozzle in municipal sanitation systems, industrial drainage networks, and large sewer collectors. It performs especially well in removing sand, sludge, gravel, and settled debris from flat or oversized pipelines. However, this reduced configuration is particularly useful when operators require bottom cleaning performance while working with 3/4″ jetting systems.
Durability and Operational Advantages
The stainless steel construction extends service life and minimizes wear during continuous professional use. Furthermore, the flat body design combined with strong rear pulling force reduces cleaning time and improves efficiency. Consequently, operators benefit from reduced downtime, improved pipe performance, and lower long-term maintenance costs.
